Xbox Live usage and spending up thanks to games like Fortnite
Oct. 25, 2018

Microsoft has confirmed that the gaming industry continues to grow and that active members of Xbox Live have it in mind. The number of active monthly users on Xbox Live reached 57 million at Microsoft in the first quarter of fiscal year 2019. That's 8% more than last year. That's only 2 million in the holiday season, which has 59 million active users per month. Microsoft notes that Xbox Live is growing in consoles, Windows 10 and mobile devices.

The Xbox gaming division experienced a 44% increase in sales compared to the previous year. While most of the Xbox One X hardware, which only hit the market in the second quarter of fiscal year 2018, was the source of most of Xbox Live's problems, games and subscription programs, it also made significant contributions.

Microsoft experienced exactly the same percentage of growth in services and software in the last quarter. And again, the company is showing its partners, who are very successful. The biggest game at the moment is probably Fortnite. This free Battle Royale is one of the most played games in the world. It also performs all its operations through digital transactions, which means that players use credit cards and similar methods to buy products through Xbox Live Gold Membership Key.

In addition to Fortnite, Microsoft also has its own services. You have never really indicated how many people would subscribe to both services, but they probably represent a significant part of the service category. Xbox Live Gold Membership Key is the company's $ 60 multiplayer online membership program. Microsoft has been relying on stable revenue since the introduction of the Xbox 360 in 2005.
